Art Informal brings together artists and art lovers for a friendly discussion about the making of work and opportunities to be involved with in the art community. Formerly called Community Critiques, Art Informal hopes to continue to provide a resource for artists looking for feedback on their work. The discussions are generally question and answer based, with artists being able to present questions about their work that allow other members of the group to provide valuable feedback. Artists wishing to bring their work for discussion are asked to wait for people new to the discussion to take turn first. Bringing artwork is not necessary to take part in the discussion. The program expands beyond the Community Critique by presenting discussion about current and upcoming opportunities in which both artists and art lovers can participate. These discussions can lead artists to resources and exhibitions. They allow art enthusiasts to become aware of exhibitions and happenings in which they can be involved. At these events, participants are asked to bring drinks of choice and snacks to share. The discussions are informal as the name suggests and a relaxed environment is encouraged. More information available at: http://oal.org/critiques.html
